Y'all,

Last year, I replaced a failed hydraulic pump on my 1963 Ford 2000 with a rebuilt unit from a reputable supplier. Additionally, I went through the top cover with a new piston o-ring, new o-rings all the way around and a new cam pin on the lever arm to replace a very worn one. After getting it going and running just a bit, the new pump started blowing fluid from the joint between the front and back halves. I took the pump off, cleaned it and replaced the gasket that failed, put it all back together, and it did it again, shortly after picking up an implement.

Of course, it only does it when the 3 pt. is raised, as that is when pressure is in the system. I have replaced the safety valve in the top cover.

Another individual told me that the pump output may have been adjusted in the past by a previous owner to compensate for the worn pump and cam pin. If so, I'm not certain where or how to adjust this back to a more "normal" spec.

What about the relief valve on the bottom of the tractor?

I need some help...thanks..!!

Joel
