1962 John Deere 2010 clutch issue

My dad has a 1962 John Deere 2010 and it some what pretty jumpy(leaps forward) when you let the clutch out. Is this common?

I haven't heard of this problem being common with any of the Deere tractors, there are some that the clutch needs to be blocked down to prevent sticking. The Deere 790 comes to mind.

Clutches on those old Deeres' can be problematic, only last 50 years and you have to change them.
