I have a 1954 Ford 640 where the lift arms drops immediately after the engine is cut off. Also during operation the load "bobs" up and down. Any thoughts, opinions or suggestions wlll be appreciaed.

Thanks!

Do not know your particular tractor but on most there is a mechanical feed back link to the 3 pt valve. This is how the valve knows where the lift arms are.

This link usually has a threaded adjustment on it so it can be set accurately.

Look for something that has come disconnected from a lift arm. It will be a small diameter steel rod. There is only one rod.

This is an image (poor quality) of the feedback rod on a Kubota B8200.
