1925 R1 to R4 or Turf

I have a 1925 (TC33 predecessor) with HST and FWD that has very well worn R1 Ag tires on it.

We have a small landscaping company and want to go to either R4 or Turf tires when we change to maximize contact area and minimize damage, realizing that we are trading traction etc. for this.

Several questions come up.

Any idea on how to buy a set (especially the wheels) Used?

Can I put the two R-4's on the front say this year, and the Rear's next year? Are the ratio's sizes close enough to not damage my FWD?

Are turf tires all that bad? Will we be stuck all the time???

Suggestions and ideas and comments appreciated, and I have been following the threads along and searching on different tire options. I am aware of the radial thing being discussed but want my stuff more run of the mill, easily available.

You will be real lucky if you find a set used. More than likely the best way to get a set would be to have your dealer order them from whole goods. Don't get them from the parts department, because they are to expensive. Have the owner or a salesperson look them up in the whole goods book. If you can wait for them to come in with a load of tractors or equipment you will save some money also.
The chance of being able to only change one axle out at a time would be slim to none. Most of the time, the tire size will be to different.

What are, or is "whole goods"?

Will my dealer know if I ask for that?

I had a price quote of $1300 for new wheels and tires, but that was the parts department.
