Buying Advice 1910 value

Is that right? I've always started my diesels at full throttle, then backed off after the started running.

Yup our 1500 is the same way, usually move it to 3/4 throttle when starting and then back off once it's spun up a bit.

Congrats on the purchase, looks like it's in great shape.

My 1910 wants to be glowed summer or winter, even after new glow plugs, its the nature of the beast.

That's a good looking tractor. Should be worth the money. For the ROPS - since the mounting points are intact, I believe I would add onto the cutoff ROPS. Just put some tubing inside, plug weld, and make the top half of the ROPS in the same style as original. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to source the material. The mounting points are the challenging part of building a ROPS.

And if someone is concerned about my method of repair, consider that a whole homemade ROPS is a heckuva lot better than half a factory ROPS.
