Hey all, have a chance to get my hands on what appears to be a neglected but low time Pronovost Puma 64 snowblower, with the price still yet to be determined. Went over for a look at it this morning and after some searching and shoveling found the blower, looks to be in very good shape, paint still on the impeller and auger blades, cable/crank chute rotation assembly is a bit beat up - how do you all think this will work with our 1900 and what would you think is a fair price? Thanks, Rick

I think it would be fine on your 1900. I am looking at a 72" for my 1900. It is a little bigger than I wanted but the price is right. If I find it is to big I can resell it for a proffit.

I'd be concerned about the blower clearing a path as wide as the 1900's rear wheels. If it does, it will be a decent match.

Doesn't look abuse to me, Puma is a great snowblower I was looking at them before I bought a new Holland 0% for three years had to go blue. I would check the gearbox for movement change oil, and look at the bearings at the end of the auger for play you should be all set possibly a new chain just too be on the safe side if the former owner didn't properly maintain keeping it well oiled. As far as the overall width you can always make some wings out of wood or steel I've used two by fours in the past bolted right through just got to watch out for ice banks they will rip right off don't ask me how I know ;-). take care

Thanks Guys, The blower is the same width as the bucket so it will just clear the rear tires, just waiting on the guy to call me back......already trying to determine how best to control the chute remotely, I'm leaning toward electric....like to hear your thoughts on this too. Still would like to know what a ballpark price range is for one of these units......thanks, Rick
