Just installed a Sony radio in my 1742 cab so thought I would pass on some info. Dealer said they could not get a radio harness without buying Massey radio so just cut the connectors off the existing tractor harness and spliced in. Other posts mentioned using a side mount antenna but I used a marine wire antenna and just layed it in the roof area. Installation steps were as follows:
1. Remove the 4 interior push pins surrounding the dome light. I used a mini pri-bar but a small flatblade screwdriver would work as well. The plastic pins pull out easily.
2. Remove the 11 outside bolts hoding the plastic roof shell in place. 3 on front, 2 on each side, 2 holding the rear lights and 2 on the rear.
3. Raise left edge of roof and insert roll of paper towels to hold it up so you can work.
4. Remove the radio blank off plate. I used a nail to push in the little pins.
5. Slide radio in and attach with screws. My radio was slightly wider that the brackets would allow so had to loosen the braket screws and force them out slightly. Then retightened the brackets.
6. Cut off existing connectors but write down colors first. There are 2 connectors: one for power (3 wires) and one for speakers (4 wires). Use wiring diagram that came with your new radio to splice in the following wires.
Power
Black = Ground
Orange = 12V Battery (constant)
Brown = Accessory 12V (switched)
Speakers
Gray & Gray/Blue = Left
Gray/Black & Gray/Red = Right
7. Attach antenna and wireless mic if equipped with bluetooth. Turn tractor to accessory and check radio. If everything works as desired then tie-strap the wires up neatly.
8. Remove paper towels and line up roof holes. I installed my interior push pins first. Then loosely installed the 11 exterior bolts. Now tighen the bolts and you are done.
Hope this helps someone.
