Reading about all you getting b.hoes has me thinking about it now:thumbsup:

Will the 1710A work with the 2015HST ?
I won't do much serious digging with it.

Or do I have to choose between the 1710C and the woods bh70x?

A 1710 backhoe is a 1710 backhoe, and the ABC designation just designates the subframe that fits each tractor A = 1815/1816 B = 2415/2516 C = 2015/2216

Thank you Galen

So the 1710C is not an attachment designation, it is the whole tractor if I understand you ??

A 1710A is a 1710 backhoe with a subframe that fits an 1815/1816 and a 1710B is a 1710 backhoe with a subframe that fits a 2415/2516 tractor and the 1710C fits a 2015 or 2216.

And I might add, just to confuse things, that there was a 2710 for a couple of years that also fits the 2015/2216. It was a little oversized in my opinion.

Just a difference in my opinion, Dave. I thought the 2015 2710 combination was one awsome combination. It was tough for any of the competition to compete with what that machine would do.

And we sold quite a few of them because of the specs, but try driving up a steep hill or ramp with no ballast in the front bucket and you had to steer with the brakes, because the front tires were surely off the ground. That was my only issue with them.

Oh that is not good at all. I routinely grab whole trees with the bucket and thumb and after locking the boom up, I drive the tree to the burn pile with the backhoe swung out to the side with the root ball near my rear tire.:D I wouldn't be able to do it with the 2015 2710 combination.:( But then again, it is always easy to find a bucket full of dirt for ballast.;) Driving up on a high trailer would be fun with the front end lite enough to have to use brakes for steering.:laughing::laughing:

Thanks much for all the input... it will take a while to sort thru it but appreciate the help.

Another option you might want to look into are Woods backhoes. I have a BH70-X on my 2615 and love it. Not sure if there is an equivalent to the 1710 but something to check into. Also a subframe style is the only way to go, less chance of damage compared to mounting to the three point.
