Has anyone found a better replacement seat. I have a 1705, and that factory seat is a pos! The tractor is great but it must have been a Friday at 4:59pm when the engineers made that snap decision. Lol.

You might check into replacing with the 1715/1720 seat, there is quite a difference in them and the 1705/1710 seat.

You also can find an oem-like manufacturer of the MF seats on EBay. Now every seat seller is not that. I mean there is manufacturer who makes seats that are near-same as own that could potentially replace yours. Bear in mind that a gc1715 seat is far different that a gc1705 seat. The brackets are somewhat different and the gc1715 seats have the normal 2 coil springs but they also have dual spring too. So you would need to compare attachment brackets at your dealer to see how they differ.
