Started my 1610d a few days ago after setting idle for a couple months. Ran fine when parked. When the engine started, it ran wide open. Pulled the compression release to kill it. Checked both the hand and foot throttle control, both work freely as they should. Oiled the linkage to make sure nothing was sticking but same results. Return spring on foot control works I didn't let the engine run but just a few seconds, as it went from zero to wide open with no control of engine rpm. I was afraid it would "over rev" and blow. I've owned the tractor over 5 years and never had any problems. Always easy to start and ran fine. Performance amazed me from such a little guy.
