16' Aluminum Trailer - How much are they selling for?

I am looking to trailer my Deere 1025r and believe a 16' aluminum trailer is what I am looking for. After reading forums on here it has confirmed it for me. What is a good price on a trailer like this? I would appreciate input from anyone who has purchased a similar trailer.

I bought an 18' Worthington 7000lb utility trailer with stow able ramps 5 years ago. They have went out of business, sold their plant to a gas well company. I paid $4800 for that trailer, with LED lights and a tongue jack. Hope that helps.

18' Aluma tandem axle, 4 wheel elec. brakes, pull out ramps was ballpark $5K.

my father sold his 17.5 ft featherlite 3110 car trailer for $4200 last year.



i would think you could find what you are looking for for $4-4500. if you went steel you could easily cut that in half

I dont know were you got your info but few people around this sub forum will recommend an AL trailer.


As we have all pointed out in the past....

if you chose to go with the above listed.... a Featherlite 3110... it weighs in at a generous 1350 lbs and lists for $6000 new (source Featherlite 2013 3110-0014 )

by comparison, a brand name (big tex in this example Big Tex Trailers 50LA Tandem Axle Utility - Big Tex Trailers)
16' landscape trailer weighs in at a wopping 1535lbs and costs about 1/3 the price.

so you could loose 200lbs of capacity, pay 60% less and still have a trailer that is more than capable of pulling around your lawnmow ..er JD "tractor"

PS id ballpark a fully loaded 1025r TLB at no more than 2600 lbs.

You're not comparing equivalent trailers. A steel car hauler like the featherlite pictured is almost 1000 lbs heavier.

That is certainly true, but for a Deere 1-series a car hauler (in any material) is overkill.

I'd suggest looking at a 7x16 landscape trailer with tandem 3500# axles. It will weight 1500-1600# and leave 5400-5500# payload capacity. More than enough for a 1-series. Cost should be around $2200.
