1575 Loader on a 336D

Hello,
I recently purchased a 336D with a 1575 loader on it. I would like to remove the loader in order to do some maintenance on the engine. The loader has quick-disconnects on it. Will I have to by-pass the loader valve (in to out) to keep from destroying my pump?

Yes, you do need to insure the fluid from the pump continues to flow with the loader disconnected. I made up a short hose to plug into the quick disconnects to replace the loader connections when it is removed. Failure to keep the fluid flowing will insure failure of some component, most likely the pump.
