Ive been researching tractors for the last week, thought I was looking at the Kubota L3400: FEL, Turf Tires, dual remotes for $21,250 (incl. tax) until I came across the Kioti specs for the CK30 and 35.

Im located in West Texas, so after searching around I found a CK30: FEL, Turf Tires, and dual remotes for $15,900 400 miles east in Dallas. So delivered, after tax, it should be about $18,200. About $3,000 less then the L3400, though I am giving up a few HP, the Kioti is bigger, weighs more and has better GPM on the hydraulic pump, better lift capacity, etc.

The CK35 would come in at about $19,600 incl. tax and delivery. So Im trying to determine if the price is right for the CK30 or should I spend a little more for the 35, and still come out under what the L3400 would cost.

Does this sound like a good price for this CK30 setup and would I be giving up too much in its capability vs. an L3400?

Thanks for the advice.

For the difference of $1400 I would go for the CK35. I would also look at the DK line s well.
A little more in price but you get a lot of machine too.

Good luck.

tekzilla; are you looking at a shuttle shift or hyd.? I have a CK25,shuttle shift, which I understand has been replaced by the CK27. After 6 months and 200 hours I can't say anything wrong about the Kioti,it is one little work horse,in fact if anything I would say they are under rated in HP. We use this tractor in my landscaping business, included are FEL,BH,6'boxblade,4"wood chipper, and 4'bush hog which I hope to trade for a 5' bush hog.

My advice ; for whats it worth:) would find a dealer that you are comfortable with, strike your best price and go for it. In my case it was Kioti and I have no regreats........Good Luck.....

That's a good price, I too would spend the extra on the CK35, I would also try and get the new quick attach bucket that I have heard is coming on the new Kioti's.

The DK35 is also worth a look. The price should be about the same as the L3400, but with more features than the Grand L series Kubota.

You probably noticed that the Kioti comes with a lot more extras than the L3400 has.

Look at kioti site and compare specs:

1: DK 35 is actually 38 hp...Ck 35 is 34 hp
2: Overall everything on the DK is beefed up and less cramped

Save about 200 miles and drive to Clyde (it is about 15 miles east of Abilene on I-20 ) I got my CK35 gear, R4s, no remotes, with loader for $15,800 in July. The dealership is called Smith and Sons. I think they have a website, but am too lazy to google right now.

Where about in West Texas are you?

Not sure I'd spend that much for just 4 horsepower. Loader and everything else are identical between the CK30 and CK35 so the only advantage is if 30hp is not quite enough at the PTO or for plowing etc.

The DK line however is a big jump in features and is generally a more modern and fully featured tractor line as Rick outlined. The DK35 is the entry point but a lot of us find that the DK40se is the sweet spot in the DK lineup given the significantly more powerful loader (almost double the DK35 loader capacity) for not much more money.

I'm pretty sure the DK40se would still come in just about where the Kubota L3400 is priced and the Kioti is a LOT more tractor for the money.
