1250 Vs 1433

Looking at two tractors
1-1250 with a loader
2-1433 with a loader
Is there a bid difference between the two? I was told they had the same motor and HP. The hood will raise on the 1433. any thing else between the two. (controls, elec, features,lift , pto, gearing)? thanks Tim

Mornin Tim,
You might get a better response on the Massey forum. I will provide a link to tractor data website that lists both tractors and you can look at the specs on both. I also have a Massey but its a older model.

I have a 1433
it's quite a bit bigger tractor than a 1250
if i had a choice, i'd go 1440, same tractor, turbo'd motor

but, i do like my 1433

That said, I believe the 1250 is an older series than the 1433.

I had a Massey Ferguson 1250 that I purchased new and owned for 10 years. I had great luck with the tractor and it worked well for me. I sold it last week as my usage required a larger tractor. I would not hesitate to purchase another!

The MF1433 was the replacement for the MF1250. I owned a 1250 for several years and now own a MF1440. Everything is easier to get to on the 1433/1440 than on the 1250 except the manual PTO lever. The lever really doesn't make any difference because when you hook up the implement you can shift it. Let me explain that a little. The 1250 has the lever to beside the seat and to the left kind of behind you. The 1433 has the lever by the three-point hitch. The button on the steering column is what turns the PTO on and off, the lever just activates the rear PTO. Both tractors use almost the same motor with the 1433 having a little more advanced version. The weights are also about the same. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
