Yardscaper,
I had a 110TLB and like the poster before me you can do a search under "110" I made several posts referring to the 110. I believe one of the posts was titled "Bushy's 110".
I, like you, was looking for an industrial compact TLB to use commercially. I had an
L35 but needed something larger and was ready to purchase an
L48 until I saw that Deere was coming out with the 110. So I did TONS of research and purchased the 110 in March of 02' and FINALLY took delivery in July. I had run
L48's before and in comparrison the 110 has many nicer features as far as visibility, hydraulic options, placement of controlls, and gearing. Things I did like better on the 48 were the swivel seat, fuel gauge, and it has a horn, pretty minor things. As far as the power I do think the 48 has better loader bucket breakout force but the lift capacities of the two are just about the same, especially when the 48 is fitted with the quick tach coupler. I also felt that the loader and hoe controlls on the 110 were above and beyond much better than the 48, much better feel and smoothness to them.
Yes, I did say I had a 110, i ended up selling it this past winter, not because it wasn't a great machine but because my business focus changed from doing lots of planting and general landscaping to doing more site work and I just needed something that was more efficient at moving material and working on slopes. My suggestion to you would be to try everything out there, weather it is a Kubota, Deere, IngersolRand(used to be Earthforce and the larger machines that are compareable to the 110 and
L48 are badged IngersolRands, and from what I've seen are VERY affordable) and see what works best for you, thats what matters most in the end.
