Trust me, I have read most of the oil posts but didn't find the answer so I'm asking the experts. I have an L5030 I'm planning for the engine oil change. Where in the world do you find a 10w-30 or 10w-40 non-synthetic, diesel rated oil like the manual specifies?? I am near the 50 hour mark and want to run non-synthetic for another 100 hours or so, but can't find anything except 15w-40 diesel rated oil. Any suggestions? I have looked at all the typical autoparts stores, TSC, AMSOIL,....and can't find non-synthetic 10w-40.

My local Wally World now carries Shell 30wt Rotella or you can go to TSC they may have it, I know my local Gebos does which is like a Tractor Supply.
I just use 15-40 shell Rotella but that's just me.

Your probably not going to find a 10W/40 diesel engine oil. You may find some passanger car oil in 10W/40 that carries some diesel API spec's but it is not a true diesel engine oil. Common viscosity's for diesel engine oil are 10W/30 and 15W/40 in conventional. Just pick your favority brand diesel engine oil in 10W/30 or 15W/40 (whichever your manual calls for in your temp's).

It is time for my oil change now and I live in the hot humid south with ambient temps commonly in the 90's.

I changed over to Synthetic Amsoil 10W-40 in all three of our Kubota's @ the 50 hr mark many years and thousands of hours ago....

A close friend that just bought an L5030 is planning on Rotella in his Kub...as he uses it in the other 4 ( various brands and models) of tractors he has. Me personally...since mine sets outside during the winter ( covered but unheated) ..Im going to use Rotella Syn 5W-40 for easier starting in cold weather

I found a 10W30 diesel rated oil at NAPA. I don't remeber exactly what it cost, but it was kinda pricey. Since then, one of the New Holland dealers that I looked at when I was buying my tractor and they carry it so I now buy it from there and my filters from the New Holland dealer I bought the tractor from.
