Maybe to give readout on dash for the pto speed. Dealer delivered driveshaft the other day for my 47" blower. I didn't notice any sensor on the shaft. Just wondering the main driveshaft for blower ,goes through 2 couplers or holes that connect to the front of tractor. After going through the 2 holes it has a male end on driveshaft where blower will connect. Does the long driveshaft come out of the 2 holes and if so how???????
Dealer never told me if it will or won't and no manual for the front quick hitch only a manual for the putting new pto shaft on blower...
Thanks for reply

the sensor is only used for 2012 and is mounted on hitch of blower.it is on rear drive shaft that hooks to transmission side.the sensor and bracket and harness can in drive shaft box

the sensor is only there for use in 2012 and newer tractor that have RIO,
Reverse Implement Option.
This sensor will tell the tractor that the Front PTO is operating, and therefore the
RIO system is in bypass and no action will be required by the user to operate the
snowblower while backing up, unlike a mower deck which will require the operator
to lift/hold his PTO switch while transitioning to reverse while the mower deck is
engaged.

One more reason for not removing the sensor no? Also when I move up from the 500 series to my 2305, the one gadget that I did not miss was the "lift and hold pto switch" while backing up. Are you saying that the new 1000 series are now equip with that system?

yes,
and the system will move up into the line, probably anything that can
have a mid mower.

Wow, I am glad I bought my 2720 last fall rather than waiting for the new ones!
