1010 wheel /combo

Good morning, I have a 1010 wheel with a 92 backhoe 4 cl gas model, it has been converted to a alternator. the battery was missing when I purchased it and I would like to find out if anyone knows if it should still be setup as a positive ground? The previous owner does not know or remember. also I would like to know if anyone knows the firing order 1243 is correct for this model I know it is a 42000 + the serial tag is long gone. My John Deere service manual on the 1000 series tractor says the firing order is 1342. It originally was a positive ground when it had generator, I have never seen alternator with a positive ground.

i have a 1972 johndeere 4020 gas i recently purchased. there seem to be 2 sets of serial numbers? can somebody decipher these for me. 362gra and 265092r thankyou:thumbsup:
