100 hr oil/filter change 3525

Hey guys just reached my 100 hr mark with the tractor and so far it has been extremely reliable the only exception would be the battery died right at the 1 year mark.. to be expected though. Need some help from other 3525 owners concerning oil filter price, best place to buy/dealer/other alt. and how hard to do the job (oil change). Also how are other 3525's holding up? Mine is a little over a year old and I have about 75 hours. I changed the oil a while back and used a Wix filter. I don't recall what the number is but Wix is listing the oil filter in their 2006 catelogs. My battery hasn't died yet but the positive post corroded so bad the tractor wouldn't crank. The supplied battery is an Exide and in my experience they are not particularly too good. I bet mine doesn't last much longer. Other than that the only other problem I have had is a slow leak in a rear tire. I've been very pleased.

I've had my 3525 for a little over a year with no problems. I changed the oil/oil filter/fuel filter with 150 hours on it. I got my supplies at the dealer and it cost around $50 for everything. Pretty easy to change. My battery is doing fine, I guess I should cross my fingers.

Yes, I did. I work at an independent Parts Store. The Wix # is 51068 and replaces the Mahindra # 5557147R91. Wix does not supply any of the other filters yet, nor does Baldwin. I don't know what Mahindra gets for the filter but we get about $5.00 and since the dealer is about 20 miles up the road it was a no-brainer for me.
