Hello,

I am trying to sell my TC40D, under 300 hours, 16LA Loader, Woods 72" brushog, unused 758C backhoe and unused 5 ton Trailmaster utility trailer. The tractor was only used to mow fields. I currently have the whole package priced at $25,500 and friends have told me the price is too low yet the offers I am getting are not close to my asking price....any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks (I am on the NY/CT border).

The package price does seem like a good deal. Have you only tried to sell it locally? If you break it up and put on Ebay you might make out. Just my $.02 Good Luck!

Sometimes things don't sell as quick as we want them to, maybe you just haven't had the right buyer come along. If you can't sell it as a package then I agree with Michigander, you might try to sell the items individually. Not sure where you are located but a good place to advertise are the local farming magazines. We have the Lancaster Farming magazine in this area and in any one week you can find about any type of farm equipment that is made. They offer free Mailbox Market ads for subscribers and it is a good way to present your equipment to a large audience. Good Luck.

I would sure not drop the price any more. Hang tough! Nobody could find a deal on a new tractor package like that for less than $10k more than you are asking. Just ask them if they are willing to pay $10k for a two-year warranty?...and then tell them if they'll pay cash, you'll give them 0% financing for 5 years.;)

I bought my TC40DA a few months ago and think what you are asking is more than fair and if anything too low. I am having the same problem with selling my 2004 TC24DA. I am selling it for 5,000 less than a new one and people still want me to go lower. For each attatchment I don't have, they want another 1,000 off the selling price. So I would hessitate to sell everything separate. I think we just need to wait for the right person. With the spring weather people start to come out of their caves and spend money. It can be hard to sell things in the winter months. Hang in there and don't give it away.

Wish your deal was on the table 2 months ago. I got 2002 TC40D with 17LA loader, 500 hours in good shape for $15.5 K. Would rather have newer unit, especially with BH and trailer. Your price seems very fair to the buyer, possibly a bit on the low side.

Thank you all very much! Considering I am not "desperate" to sell I can feel more comfortable negotiating. As someone stated; I wish I had this deal when I purchased the tractor!
