00 Series Backhoes

Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about the 6340X backhoe for 00 series Bransons? I.E. specs, manufacturer etc. I don't see it on branson's site anymore, just the low end BH660 with separate seat is listed. BH660 Looks way too long and terrible departure angle for my uses on hilly terrain. This 6340X looks a lot better, much like those available from JD, and Cub Cadet/Yanmar.



I may have just answered my own question but yes it does look like a yanmar CB60 backhoe that came factory on the Yanmar SC 2450 TLBs. It is similar to the JD 260, except I see the dipper and boom pins are shared in the JD and separate in the yanmar/branson model.

Put something HEAVY in the loader bucket.
This would be about the only use I would have for one of those 3pt ballast boxes, i.e. a metric ton of concrete.

Actually they are a rigid mount backhoe not 3 point.. And a bit more than a ballest box

Putting something heavy in front won't help, the BH660 is built on a heavy platform that sticks way out, thus ruining the departure angle.
IE: it doesn't cross dips and ditches too good, it actually is a tail dragger then.
But it's a great unit, for it's size!
Beats using a shovel...

Yeah, the BH660 really sticks way out the back, and has a separate dedicated seat. The 6340X was nice because it doesn't hang out as far aft and incorporates a swivel seat on the tractor itself.
