    Do you hardface your ground contact skids and shoes on your implements?

    I do, always, Any implement I own, if it has ground contact shoes or skids, they get hardfaced, no exception and that includes my 'brush hog / slasher' as well as my discbine and the bottom feet on my stump grinder, any metal to ground contact gets hard faced. reason is, renewing worn skids...

    JD 850 with oil on the brake shoes..

    How do you pull the oil seal? Should I just screw in a sheet metal screw and attempt to pull it out? Need to drain the transmission fluid first? Where can I find replacement seals and are the brake shoes no longer any good since they been soaked in oil?

    Need help identifying these snow plow skids/feet

    I recently acquired a 2000 JD 4300 from an elderly neighbor. It came with a 72" plow blade and the skids/feet are pretty worn out and need to be replaced. There are no markings on the plow or the feet and the local JD dealer does not have record of a plow purchase for my neighbor. Shaft OD...
