    Identify this planter

Is this a Covington planter? I was cleaning out the barn at our old homeplace and brought this home. It's in much worse condition than I first thought. I have the Pittsburgh cultivator it attaches to. It seems some parts are missing to attach it to the cultivator. Also the seed plates are...

    Ford 309 planter problems

All, Bought what I believe to be a Ford 309 planter 6 years ago. Just last year it started breaking seeds. This would affect corn, soybeans, and sunflowers. I don't see anything that is obvious causing this. Any ideas?

Need advice on Identification and Repair of this old corn planter.

It looks like it was originally red with yellow wheels. Looks like the previous owner converted it to a 3pt hitch mount. The wheels turn, the chains move, the plates in the seed hoppers turn, the horizontal shaft going to the fertilizer hoppers turns, but the agitators in the fertilizer...

    Brinly planter plate.

Curious if anyone here has a Brinly planter and have a Covington plate TP527 (10 cell) to plant sweet corn, and how well it works. I have a Brinly plate OR20 but it spaces single seeds 11 inches apart. The 10 cell should drop every 6 inches. Closer if I could find a 16 tooth sprocket. I didn't...

Attach Additional Shanks to this 2 Row Planter?

I'm looking at buying this planter for sweet corn. I'd also like to use this as cultivator after corn starts to come up. There are only two shanks provided (for the 2 row planter), but for cultivating it would make most sense to have 4 total (1 on each side of the 2 rows). Does anyone have ideas...

I'm planning out planting for Spring and what I can use to for planter and cultivator. Attached is my tractors wheel spacing (which is not adjustable). The distance between rear wheels is 31", which I'm thinking would work well using a one-row cultivator as I can straddle the corn. Based on...
