diff lock

Hi folks, 3033R purchased new in 2019. I've used the diff lock only a handful of times, and it's always worked in the past, although maybe a bit more delayed to engage. Always figured it was an issue where the gears had to mesh just right before the pedal would drop and it would lock in. But...

I am trying to get familiar with the operations of my new hydrostatic 1E.25, which I believe is almost the same as the 1825E The diff lock lever only travels about 1/2" when I step on it. Maybe it is engaged, I'm not sure. So, I read the manual and it says to stop the tractor before engaging...

...apparently. I.e. only one wheel spins when "engaged". Where do I look, or can I, to find out what the issue might be? B3030
