So the PTO belt from the engine, around the front V pulleys to the deck, is shredding, wearing on one side, or just breaking. Visually the pulleys look OK, PTO to front pulley alignments looks OK.. I'm replacing the front "V" pulleys anyways , one bearing is going. If anyone resolved this...

Anyone change oil seal between drop axle housing front wheel and king pin housing, seal # 721-04087 ?? Parts diagram shows one on each side, service manual shows 2 each side, one on top of the other.. Was only one each side when I disassembled....Think i"ll see if 2 will fit..

Yup , actually I put 4 qts in & new filter , started it, shut it down and then checked it, and it was over, so I measured what I drained, 3 qt's.

Service manual says engine takes 5 qts, but the dipstick shows full at 3 qt. & I drained 3 qts. Anyone know what the deal is on this? Engine is a 28 hp Cat/ Perkins.
