Me and my wife have some land (8.8 acres) that we plan on building on as soon as we can decide on a plan that fits us. I know long term a tractor will come in handy doing landscaping and maintenance.

It the reason people use calcium cloride for tire ballast beause its heavier or cheaper than the same amount of water/antifreeze?
From what I have read, it tends to corrode rims somewhat so what is the advantage.

Some of you more experienced tractor folk may have had the pleasure to buy/trade with more that one dealer. Do you have any preference (assuming you liked each equally) about dealing with a larger dealer or a smaller one. THings like: the larger on may have more resources and any needed...
I had a non Kubota dealer tell me that Kubota discontinued parts availablility 5 years after the date of last manufacture and they were constantly updating their models by design to force parts for older tractors to not be available. While this seems plausible, I don't know if I should believe...
