I've had my 2305 less than 100 hrs and have already replaced the battery. Based on experience: I agree - the strong box batteries JD sells are POS. Go with the yellow top.
I am running the 62C MMM. When I turn the wheel fully to the right, the LH tire lugs hit the front deck hanger bracket knob. In the owners manual, OMLVU14333, it shows a knob like I have installed in the parts ID section but in the installation and removal sections it shows an "L" shaped lever...
Bottom Line Up Front: Does anyone know the specs on the bolt pattern/measurement for 2305 wheels?
Background: I am looking into getting some spacers for my front wheels. They hit the lever for the MMM when I turn the wheel fully. I have placed the left tire on the right side and the right...
If your lift is not hydraulic, on the left hand 3pt hitch lift arm there is a lever that pushes a rod fwd to a shaft to lift the mower. Check to see if your 3 pt hitch lift arm has slipped past that lever, if the rod is bent or out of adjustment, or if the weld connecting the fitting on that...
Since I am a visual learner, thought I'd throw in a fairly good video on how to set up and use the plow. It will give you some idea about what the gentlmen are trying to explain.

interesting he would say that when it is clearly mounted to a 2305 on their website: John Deere products for homeowners: Features for Attachment 3-Bag Power Flow Material Collection System
what about bolting on a receiver and then you can install and remove several items like hooks, hitches, winches, etc. At $25 it's a bit more expensive (add the "hooks, hitches, winches, etc") but provides much more capability.
I also had a VERY large black walnut yield this year. I have found this tow behind: Order a Bag-A-Nut Nut Harvester Today! which may pick up the windrows from the estate rake but this seems like a lot of expense (cost of rake plus walnut pick up device). But at least with the estate rake I can...
I am thinking of a landscape rake to get the black walnuts and leaves gathered up. I always see photos of them used in bare seedbeds to get the rocks out and these walnuts are about the size of rocks so... Has anyone used a landscape rake for this or similar purpose?
I have to do the same thing myself this weekend. I think I will add pvc pipes on the inside per a previous post (no welder currently). Question: what QH do you have? Does it adjust up to 20"? I have the same ballast box (15") but also a 20" requirement.
Thanks alot guys - I really appreciate the help for this first time tractor owner. I almost made a mistake and bought one with an 18" measurement. I want the one with the same measurement as the iMatch because someday when I collect enough toys, er - I mean "tools" - I will want an iMatch to...
I am interested to hear from someone with a John Deere ballast box; what is the measurement between the 3 pt hitch top link hole and the draft arm pins?
I had the same idea: multi task the carry all. I want a carry all anyway, but can the carry all manage the weight? I have a JD 2305 and the KK carry all for my size tractor is rated at 450#. I wonder if that's enough ballast.
Is the JD iMatch hitch made especially for the "limited" Cat 1 hitch on the 2305 or will any Cat 1 quick hitch work? I am asking this because I checked out the iMatch hitch online and as usually JD wants a pretty penny for their products. Harbor frieght has one for about $175 cheaper but I am...
I had the same problem: mower would not mow very high (maybe 2.5") even when the height adjustment knob was set in the highest position. ...except, after 10 hours the rockshaft bellcrank broke while mowing the church acreage.
After I got the tractor back from the dealer (the first...
