    L3430 won't stay running

Update It was indeed the OPC timer. Picked it up at the dealers yesterday and problem solved. $76.00 with 2nd day air delivery, not too bad since this the only money spent on my tractor other than normal maintenance with almost 700 hours on it. Actually the hard part was putting the "dash"...

    L3430 won't stay running

My guess is the OPC timer, if that is moved the relay cuts out. That is the part I ordered at the dealer anyway. Should be here Thursday. Hope that is the problem. In the mean time I have by-passed the relay, raked hay for two hours with no issues. Thanks for all the advice. Spock

    L3430 won't stay running

Fuel filter is fine one of the first things I checked. It is electrical either a wiring issue/ loose connection or what ever controls the relay for the shut off solenoid. I can hear the solenoid disengaging. Trying to find a wiring diagram to trace it out. And we have hay down. Thanks Spock

    L3430 won't stay running

Won't run is it starts fine the dies soon after it starts. It seems the cut-off solenoid disengages. Checked the cut-off sol. it is OK (Jumbered it out to get her back to the garage) Tested the relay the activates the cut-off sol. it is OK (connected straight to battery and checked continuity...

    L3430 won't stay running

I have an 03 L3430 HST with about 700 hours on it. I moved it from the garage to the field no problem. Removed FIL and backing out to remove the box blade and it will not stay running. has fuel (full) no other problems in the 700 hours I've owned it. Did a quick search and it seems it could be...

Junkman Then I would need an even larger tractor to herd the goats. Perhaps two even. Spock

    Tractor Depreciation

Gatorboy I will end up with 50 acres of my own. The other 100 acres will, as it stands now, need to be maintained by me and my two brother in laws. The land has just about everyhing. Around 35 acres of hay or pasture, a couple of ponds, wooded area and some hills that I ain't gonna try. And...

    Tractor Depreciation

Gatorboy Thought that was what I was doing. Started out looking at the BX22 ended up with an L3430. Thought the wife was gonna kill me. Being my first tractor was not sure of all it's uses. Now I try to use the tractor for EVERYTHING. Oh well live and learn. Spock

    Tractor Depreciation

ledebuhr1, The reason for selling or trading is more tractor. I want larger mowing capabilities, pull a small square baler, larger capacites with the 853 FEL and you know more horsepower. The L3430 is great, but I have found the need for a larger tractor several times. Spock

cowboydoc Well you have a point. But losing 5 grand for no more hours is a bit of a suprise. At least to me. Oh well. Spock

Charliebrn, you make a valid point. Just seemed kinda low for what I think of as a "new" tractor.

    Tractor Depreciation

How much does your tractor depreciate? I am thinking about trading my L3430HST /723 Fel with 110 hours in on a L4330HST / 853 FEL. But it seems my existing tractor is only worth $13,400.00 to the dealer that sold it to me. Orginal price $18,500.00 That would leave me with $5100.00 for the 110...

How are the hydraulic's connected on a BH90?

Re: How are the hydraulic\'s connected on a BH90? Dave I've asked about the brands you mentioned and their prices are close to the Kubota BH90. Kinda like to stay with Kubota for several reasons, warranty, designed for my tractor, colors would match etc. As for a smaller unit, I might as well...

How are the hydraulic's connected on a BH90?

Re: How are the hydraulic\'s connected on a BH90? Dave, I filled in my bio (again). So as I understand it the hyd. connections for the BH90 come with the hoe. (Hoses, fittings etc needed to connect to some location near my FEL connections?) Which makes since, at least to me. I am hoping he...

How are the hydraulic's connected on a BH90?

Re: How are the hydraulic\'s connected on a BH90? Then since I already have a FEL, $900.00 seems kind of high for a couple of hoses and quick disconnect. Thats what I thought. Perhaps the salesman I talked to is a little confused instead of me this time. Any idae how much this kit cost? Or...

How are the hydraulic's connected on a BH90?

How are the hydraulic\'s connected on a BH90? Just returned from my Kubota dealer after pricing a BH90 backhoe. Got a price $7000.00 for the backhoe, subframe and 18 inch bucket. I asked how the hydraulic's were interfaced with the tractor (L3430/ 723 FEL)would it run from the PTO (my...
