I agree, I wish the CX was a 3 range hydro but every time I use my dads 1969 Ford 4000 I'm always appreciative of the hydro trans in the CX. My left knee feels it after a few hours on a manual trans.

The CX is about as wide as the CS but a lot taller so it's more tippy. I pulled on an old oak on a 20* slope that I would not have been able to do without the spacers.

Yeah a 3 range would be ideal. The Kioti is the heaviest tractor in this frame size. Great for loader work but it is harder to get it moving. 2,308lb tractor, 605lb loader, 30lb tooth bar, 342lbs of rim guard tire ballast (when both rears are full), and a 175lb scrape blade comes in at 3,460lbs...

Used the CX2510 to clear a widow maker in the back yard. In the vid you can hear it bog down, soon as the 200 hour service is done, I'm going to turn it up to 35HP.

Watch me struggle with the valve stem cores blowing out. Rim Guard tire ballast is beet juice which can be corrosive to the glue that holds the metal core inside a rubber valve stem. If your tractor has rubber stems and is filled with Rim Guard I suggest you change your stems to metal. Colby...

True, not a real liquid stem. You can just remove the schrader valve, turn the tire to where the stem is at the 12' O clock position, and fill it. Slow but doable. No different than the rubber stems it came with, they just removed the schrader valve to fill.

Crazy that the internals of the stem are just glued in, but it makes sense. Metal schrader valve and internals inside a rubber stem. Only way to combine them is with glue I guess.

Small job here, I was asked to dig up some asphalt to find a busted waterline. They had it marked where the water was leaking. Also had the valve stem blow out and spray me with Rim Guard.

Tooth bar with shanks is better for busting dirt, serrated small tooth bar like a Piranha is good for both busting dirt and still being able to scrape flat ground clean. As "old and tired" said, it will give the bucket strength along the leading edge and help with preventing it from bowing...

No value to add about the question of adding a backhoe to an old Ford, but I've put many of hours on my fathers 68 Ford 4000. That's a great tractor, heavy with loaded tires to. Can't go wrong with an old Ford but I don't think I would trade my compact CX2510 for one.

Yes, yours is the 3A139 engine. I'm not sure when they went to the 3A165 like what is in mine.

I have not turned the power up on mine yet. Low gear is great but high is a little useless.
