CT 235 will not go into 4x4(front wheel assist)

Disregard all. After some gentle persuasion with a 2# framing hammer, she be working per OEM.

CT 235 will not go into 4x4(front wheel assist)

After some maintenance being performed (rear wheel/hub reseal and new couplers), I now can’t get the front wheels into the 4x4 mode. Looking at the MX service manual, the selector arm is fairly simple looking and doesn’t appear to complicated to access. The 4x4 mode did work after the above MX...

CT 235 difficult to select 4x4

Yesterday I attempted to select 4x4- no go, it is stuck in 4x2. Hyd Fluid is were it should be, don’t see any linkage damage. Depressing clutch pedal isn’t working.. Wondering if the internal lever is jammed, or jumped out of it’s detent. Any ideas?

FEL arms will not lower after MX.

Everything all fixed. I just replaced all couplers, and FEL is good to go.

FEL arms will not lower after MX.

Yes, the arms will over ~1" down, then stop. The pump can be heard trying to do what it is supposed to. I have isolated each Hyd Cylinder, one at a time, by removing line into the cylinder,(lower end) plugging it, as well as supply end, and then tested the "lowering" function- NADA on each...

FEL arms will not lower after MX.

Thanks for the reply. The only way the arms can be lowered is if I crack those lines and bleed them. Gravity does the rest. Next thing is to remove the “lowering” line and cap it off and see what I get after I raise the arms.

FEL arms will not lower after MX.

Greetings all: I have a CT 235, just shy of 300hrs. Just finished replacing a Hub seal in the rear axle. This involved draining all Hyd fluids, then refilling after the Hub was reinstalled. I am now dealing with the Loader arm not lowering. Up, and tilt work fine. Everything worked before I did...

    Need to replace CT235 seat.

Don’t remember the brand, but it was on a big sale $(120). At that price I would make it fit!

    Need to replace CT235 seat.

I just replaced mine with a generic seat with arms I found at a ranch supply store here in AZ. The only mod I had to do was to cut out the metal piece that the engine kill switch fits into and transferred that to the new seat. Works good and way cheaper then OEM.

Bobcat CT 235 rear wheel hub seal leak

Called Michigan and told the Lady I have a Bobcat, which is a Kioti. Gave her the Bobcat #’s, and she basically said go away, can’t help ya unless I have Kioti #’s. I was told those #’s are non crossable.

Bobcat CT 235 rear wheel hub seal leak

I do believe the CT235 is a Kioti CK 35 in disguise. Strange about the case gasket. The MX manual parts page shows a case gasket, but a dealer could not find it. So— I’m assuming that there is hyd fluid in the case (hense the leak). Impressive that the case does leak w/out a gasket.

Bobcat CT 235 rear wheel hub seal leak

OK, got it. Anyone figured out seals, O ring, gaskets from somewhere else besides Bobcat? OEM seal# 6696578, O ring# 6696278 on order, but it will take forever. Need to locate case gasket, and new shaft nut. anyone try NAPA, Kubota, JD for quicker service.

Bobcat CT 235 rear wheel hub seal leak

Just like all easy “1 day” jobs, it takes way longer. BTW, does the axle case need to be removed to, as per the photo to replace the seal?

Bobcat CT 235 rear wheel hub seal leak

Has anyone attacked a leaking hub seal? Easy to do on a truck, but I’ve never done one on a tractor. Looking at a parts diagram, it looks fairly simple- drain hyd fluid, remove wheel(heavy), 4bolts to remove, etc. A service manual would be dandy to have.

    Alternator Toast?

That’s on list for tomorrow. Of course the Owners Manual has no mention of either.

    Alternator Toast?

Was replacing the crappy factory battery cable fitting (+) and I reversed the polarity for a split sec (what a ditz). The Tractor is dead electrically. All fuses intact, swapped the starter relay with the headlight relay, battery is good. Can’t find any other fuses, etc. I‘m thinking the...
