    Phone mount/holder?

I’ve taken a different approach and wear a chest harness from Hill People gear. It’s about 6” x 9” and has several zippered pockets. One for my phone, one for emergency med gear and one for a gun. Everything is easy to reach and it’s always with me, whether on or off the tractor. I’m in the...

    Buying Advice  B26 choice

I’m looking for a B26 for trail building and water flow management. I have a larger tractor for other tasks and will likely never take off the backhoe. There are two locally. The first is a 2007 with 250 hours. It’s a dealer and I have a call into them for details. It seems like a one owner...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

I’m in Weare. It’s north of Manchester and west of Concord. We moved there about 9 years ago from a little further south in NH and are very happy here. The property is 40 acres with a 4 acre pond.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

M6040 with 84” blower in the front, hard plumbed to the back to 3 point PTO driven pump. I’m in NH. Snowfall is all over the spectrum but usually several storms 1-2’ and I’ve got 1200’ of driveway to clear.

Woodland Mills wood Chipper wait times !

Well, here’s what I’ve learned and done today. First of all, thanks for the heads up on the angle, it fell within the manufacturing specs and I would have not given it more consideration. I emailed and then spoke with a tech at Woodland and a few statements he made are: Don’t run off the...

Woodland Mills wood Chipper wait times !

I measured the angle at 20 degrees. The manual stated that anything under 25 degrees was fine. I did raise the base 3” which brought the angle to 15 but was running into an issue coming out of the garage. There’s a dip in the pavement for water movement and when the rear tires cross it, the base...

Woodland Mills wood Chipper wait times !

The WC88 was delivered on time. The 18 wheeler parked at the top of the driveway and I drove out, offloaded with the forks and put in the garage. I took my time putting together, not bad. A second person would be nice but not absolute. No issues, the construction is solid. Ran for about an...

Woodland Mills wood Chipper wait times !

I ordered a WC88 on May 6 and it’s being delivered tomorrow, June 29. Just shy of 2 months. I believe on the website it stated end of August for orders being placed then.

    Asphalt driveway and R4 tires

My tractor is over 10,000 pounds with R4’s. No issue on my paved driveway. The only marks are from operator error and my bucket. The tires, no marks.

    Rear Blade choice

MechanicalGuy, Even if it will be used for dirt grading and cutting? I won’t need it for snow removal, just dirt work. I was concerned about tweaking the blade at that length. Thanks

How far would you drive a tractor?

One other consideration is insurance. If the tractor is covered under a standard homeowners policy, then coverage only applies to incidents on your land. My agent told me to keep it on my land so driving anywhere else is off the table for me. Yours may be different but wanted to bring it up.

    Rear Blade choice

Great points, guys. I’ve exhausted my search for a Rhino in NH, ME, VT and MA. Craigslist has only produced a Bush Hog 91-08 with hydraulics for $3500. EA has the extreme blade but the 8’ is only 575 lbs. They do have the Land Shark 8’ at 800 lbs. Probably the fall if I ordered now. The...

    Rear Blade choice

Oosik, I have read through many of your posts. With such similar tractors, your points are very applicable. Finding blades is proving difficult. There one Rhino dealer close enough but hasn’t been responsive. Going to have to drive over. I’m definitely focused on the 8’ blade, now to find a...

    Rear Blade choice

Thanks everyone for the replies. I’ve got a call out to the Rhino dealer in Concord to see what they have. The 850 and 950 both look like tanks. I had looked, briefly, at the TS models but they were only rated for 40hp I believe so quickly put them aside.

    Rear Blade choice

I have a Kubota M6040. The tires are 82” wide so leaning towards an 8’ blade. With filled tires and the loader, I’m right at about 10,000 pounds. I’m in NH so rocky soil. My intent primarily is improving my trails in the woods so cutting into hillsides to level off. I’ll also do some ditching...

Should I cab or not. Getting ready to buy

I just got a used cabbed Kubota M6040 from my friend and neighbor. I’m in NH and will use year round with the winter being snow blowing. This is not my vocation, just my avocation and I definitely prefer climate control for heat/cooling, dust and bugs.
