    KIOTI NS5310 - UPDATE - 2 Year - 90 Hour Review

Yeah, crazy tight hydraulic filters. Got a Tekton 12" oil filter pliers (5866), then went easy. Had significant hydraulic whine my first 50 hours. Dealer used Shell Rotella. I drained and replaced with Mobil Delvac (aka Mobilfluid 424). Whine reduced dramatically. Couldn't say if it was the...

Kioti parking brake failure...has this happened to you?

Thank you yes, that improved the reliability.

    CK4010 HST Sticky Pedals

I have the identical machine with the same number of hours, no significant issues so far. With perrypower mentioning possible "bad batches", if you don't mind my asking, which month/year did you buy it?

Kioti parking brake failure...has this happened to you?

Nope. By (lightly) pulling up on the locking lever while feathering down on the pedal, I can fine tune (and hear) how the teeth are engaging. If I go about it normally (pedal down then engage brake) it doesn't always catch.

Kioti parking brake failure...has this happened to you?

Slippage right around 100hrs. Not cool when swapping QA on a 10 percent slope. My workaround is to 1) angle the front tires so I don't have to hop a runaway train if the brake sproings out, and 2) rather than pushing down on the brake pedal then pulling up on the parking brake, I now first pull...

CK10 vs the 1 ton bag

Wondered about that. Manual says SAE 90 gear oil or same as transmission oil, every 400 hours, though for the sake of long life (and because I push my equipment) might do the same with a full synthetic 75W-140.

CK10 vs the 1 ton bag

As does the experience and advise of the folks here.

CK10 vs the 1 ton bag

Then I'll consider this a bullet dodged. Thanks for the backstory. Please explain. I moved the pallet, not the trailer.

CK10 vs the 1 ton bag

I hit the free trailer rental quota at Tractor Supply, so with my SUV, a good day to pick up a 1 ton bag of 3/4 gravel. Trouble was, my CK4010SE FEL is rated for 1835lbs "at the pins". Would I even be able to unload it? That big bag of palletized gravel might weigh in at 2000lbs, but then add...

Mobil Delvac Tractor Hydraulic Fluid 124788 and Mobil fluid 424 the same? good/bad

Available and on sale now $10 off at TSC, at least in my neck of the woods. Guess I just bought their last one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/mobil-delvac-tractor-hydraulic-fluid-5-gal-124788-1485462?store=1527

    Warn winch install

Smart looking setup you've got. Standard L4240 battery has a CCA of 582. In actual winch use is that adequate, or are you having to pull amps from your TB too?

    I don't understand something.

Motto and mindset of us semi-retired types. ;)

    Warn winch install

Thinking along those lines too. On mine, would weld a receiver tube onto the front brush guard where it's bolted to the chassis.

    Stump bucket on worksaver

I have a similar stump bucket (All States) for my 40HP in use for 3 months now, but it's been only part of how I go about clearing stumps (mostly lateral roots like loblolly and poplar). The largest stump I'm removed so far is about 20" in diameter (80yo loblolly). My process is to: use the...

Some one wanted to know if we'd buy an EV tractor

Just read through this thread. Thought ... Until the day of the friendly neighborhood ASMR, and regardless of the state of EV, I say thank gummint for tier 4, which should protect the sale of diesel fuel for my -- and my tractor's -- lifetime.

    CK3510SE HST shifting issue

From the (2021) CK10 owner's manual, page 6-14: Whether it's grapple or stump bucket or forks or bucket on the FEL and 650lbs on the 3pt ballast while clearing property, this pretty much describes my use 100% of the time. You have vastly more seat time than I, and this is clearly important...

    CK3510SE HST shifting issue

Same here. This tractor works on 10 percent grade, and has seen more differential lock than 2wd.

Flat face hyd. coupling "pressure release" tool

Trying to picture this. So electronics on, uncouple, engine on, move to grapple storage, detach grapple. With no 3rd function hydraulics, do you position the grapple maw by hand before setting it down?

    CK 3510SE bucket level indicator

No complaints about the price/point features on my CK10SE, but a self leveling option would have been sweet.

    CK3510SE HST shifting issue

True that, but the shifter, ROPS, hitch pins and pedals seem to enjoy the treat. My first year with a tractor has seriously put a dent in my clothing. I now have an additional sorted pile: one with fluid stains. All too easy to brush up against that nlgi grease.

    Everything Attachments

Pardon the extended away, which is ENTIRELY TED'S FAULT (hehe). I watched one too many videos of him wailing away on a Wicked 55, and I caught that fever. Wound up crippling the pioneer couplers, which left with me a nasty high pressure leak and seriously bent WRLong torque tube mount. Two...

    CK3510SE HST shifting issue

My 2021 CK4010SE HST just passed 100 hours and am only now seeing smoother shifting. Suggestions to throttle down, feather, rock are all good and really don't require much effort. I also have an oil can of food grade mineral oil I occasionally use to squirt down into the shifter assembly to...

Mobil Delvac Tractor Hydraulic Fluid 124788 and Mobil fluid 424 the same? good/bad

Very limited availability, but keep looking. I put a TSC search icon on my desktop and would check a couple times a day when I was ready to buy. Took about 2 weeks for it to show up within travel distance. Immediately made an online purchase, then drove an hour plus to p/u. I decided to swap...

Flat face hyd. coupling "pressure release" tool

5 year thread but still relevant. For my grapple, I just switched from pioneers to flat face, thinking I've had enough dealing with "just a thimble" full each QA swap. But the very first time I tried reconnecting it, the line pressure made it impossible. I read through this thread and couldn't...

    Everything Attachments

My new Wicked 55 grapple immediately became the most useful FEL attachment in my arsenal. However, being my only jointed attachment, it's also the most problematic to quick attach, Does anyone have a slick trick when detaching it so it rests in a stable and accessible position for next time...

Ordered my Wicked 55 grapple end of Fall and just now picked it up. Shipping was free to the Estes depot not 15 minutes away. Easily fit in the bed of an F150. It is a thing of gleaming Hardox beauty. Instead of the standard issue WRLong true third function, I went with a diverter (ESK) from...

Decided to buy on Monday the previous week (11/29); called a 5 Paw dealer within 2 hours driving range that next day to hear they just got a load of CK10SE's in; met with dealer and wrote a check that next Friday; heard today (12/10) my CK4010SE-HST was just assembled and is scheduled for...

New to the group, new to tractors, love my LS MT240E – 40HP!

Looking forward to a MT240HST this year, but I may have to purchase on the basis of specs and user satisfaction alone, so a noob question for you ... about simultaneous functions ... can this LS lift and curl at the same time? And for anyone with a nicely configured grapple, can you lift, curl...
