Question about first 50 hour maintenance

I dont recall the kit - i ordered online but they gave me the wrong HST filter so i ended up swapping at the dealer. should have just bought it from the dealer to begin with. Yes you need to change all 3 filters at 50 hours.

    MF210-4 Mystery Switch

I owned one of these years ago. I cant see the picture well, but i recall more than one switch for lights. These old japanese market tractors were intended to drive on the road, so it may have directional blinkers. only other random thought would be an electric PTO if it had a front attachment...

Buying Advice Looking for new or used garden tractor, something strong enough to plow, PTO, 3 pt hitch, don’t need mower attachment.

The cheapest (?) solution would be an older 2wd compact diesel like a Kubota B7100/6200 etc. I had one in the past, and it was a perfect true garden tractor with locking diff, PTO and 3pt hitch. Definitely very light, so plowing might be a challenge - but better than any gas powered garden tractor.

    Front Loader Kubota B6200

This will be a bit of a challenge; this is a very small (and old) tractor. There were some small Woods and Koyker loaders made for subcompacts, heck even for gas garden tractors. But they are rare, and you will need custom welded brackets to mount it. Certainly possible but it will take patience...

Advice on tractor for 7.5 acres - Mowing pasture and general use - L3902? What flail mower?

based on my experience with my kubota ZTR i would not recommend that for the pasture with hills. Maybe with aggressive tires it would be possible, but ZTRs really struggle holding a line across a hill. On the stock turf saver tires it is completely impossible. Mine slides sideways down the hill (!)

New owner Kioti CK 2610 HST

i have the bobcat version with 105 hours. I will check tomorrow when doing chores, but i do not recall hearing any sound or vibration difference with clutch in or out. And FWIW you only need clutch to start (safety) and use the rear pto. no need when shifting ranges.

    Newbie shopping 1st tractor

I am very happy with my 2025 at 103 hours. When i was shopping during summer 2021 there was a substantial price jump to the 35 and 40. Tried them both, for my use totally satisfied with the 25hp. I have 2 long time dealers within 20 miles and service has been excellent.

    Repelling / Deterring Beavers

i have been at war with beavers for a few decades in upstate ny. They can flood 10 acres of my meadows if left unchecked. Agree with trapper; but i enjoy actively putting pressure on them - pulling down their small dams and very importantly - get out there in early spring (snow still on ground)...

    Tractor Recommendation

This all the way. It is not a honda mercedes comparison. You are paying more for Deere and Kubota because of their strong, decades old dealer network. And frankly, i think they deserve that premium.

Kioti CK2610 vs Mahindra 1626 vs Kubota L2501

I have the bobcat version of the kioti (no BH); very happy at 100+ hours. great dealer support, no issues or failures. The loader is very stout, always surprised what I can lift with no strain. work platform ergonomics in the kioti was my favorite, and reason for choice.

i have an X500. I find the diff lock very useful, I would want that feature for pulling loads.

    Ford 1700 4X4

I would first determine if the clutch is slipping; put it in a higher gear (3H or so) and push against a big tree. Under normal situation, the tractor will stall. I had a similar age compact tractor with a bad clutch, gradually got worse and worse. Had to split tractor (took it to shop) to...

    CT2025

I am at 65 hours or so on my 2025 in upstate ny. Happy with cold weather starting, plowing snow. With the R4 tires I can spread manure up to about 8" of snow in the fields, more than I expected. No more big pile to deal with each spring.

    Tractor Shortages

Here in Upstate NY i am stunned by the lack of inventory at the local Ford dealerships, and Deere. Other brands are nominally better stocked (kubota best of all). Geopolitics are wildly complex so I won't wade into that swamp, but please consider that state side car manufacturing (union and non...

New Kioti CK2610 HST- A few problems

Bobcat 2025 here, 53 hours. (very similar kioti made). My HST selector is notchy from new, but never fails to shift. I definitely give either F or R pedal a little punch if it is stiff. I shift constantly since you have to be in neutral/brake lock to jump off the tractor. I am always opening...

MF 210-4. Where do you buy parts?

I used to own this tractor; it was made by Hinomoto in Japan, and the motor is a toyosha if memory serves. Massey has changed hands and suppliers many times over the decades, so parts through a dealer network will probably be tough. I would start with a tractor dealer (online) that sells grey...

4 wheel drive all the time? or just when needed

I have a bobcat 2025 (kioti) with 55 hours so far; got it this spring. I really only need to engage the front axle when moving dirt or slogging through muddy trails. All my mowing and manure spreading are easily done in 2wd. Any reason to use the front axle every once and a while? I don't really...

    Pallet Forks?

i use clamp on trash forks with great success on my bobcat 2025. Visibility is a definite issue, and for a big jump in price, quick attach would be the best option. However, I dont use it that often - and mostly in spring to move brush and trees cut with chain saw. Takes literally a minute to...

Advice on 25 hp tractor purchase

i have a Bobcat 2025 which i think is very similar to the kioti you mention. We loved the Bobcat vs all others because of the cab layout, fit and finish, metal fenders and hood, and dealer network in my area. I planned to get the 35hp version but on test drives found it to be much louder. I am...

    Price Check Massey ferguson 1010

The tractor was made by Hinomoto in Japan in the 80s. The only source likely for parts would be a grey market specialist dealer; i would google for a place like that. Sold in US under Ago/Deuz Allis/Allis Chalmers brands. I owned an earlier 2 cylinder one (MF 210) that did have Toyosha engine...

    Concerned with new Bobcat CT2040

i have the ct2025, and can use high on fields and modest hills with no problem, but i agree it engine needs to at least be at the ptoE setting (i think 1800) if not 2100. When doing heavy loader work i find that 2,000 is perfect; even slightly less reduces the lift strength and speed. It is hard...

    CT 2025 for 9 acres?

i have 20 hours on my CT2025 - all happy so far. Great local dealer, and my wife and i simply liked the controls and fit and finish best of all the brands. We test drove everything. Oddly i wasnt too worried about regen - I had planned to get the 2035 but it was much noisier than the 25...

NH Workmaster 25 vs Kioti CK2610

i shopped both these tractors (kind of, I was looking at the bobcat version CT2025). In the end, i bought the bobcat - but i liked them both. New Holland was more expensive, engine was significantly smaller in displacement. Bobcat/Kioti also has a nicer operator station which i really like.

Short operator, seat modification kubota L2800

My wife is 5 2", and the seat on the kubota L2800 we are looking to buy doesn't forward enough for her to operate pedals fully seated. Has anyone modified or replaced the seat to position if farther forward? looks like we could try drilling new mounting holes. Curiously, several other tractors...
