    Backhoe for Deere 3033r

I bought a Chinese mini-x and am happy as anything with it. Not one of the smaller gas ones, but a 2 ton with a Kubota diesel. (wanted it light enough to not sink in or tear up much ground, and something small enough that the tractor could help unstick :-) ). I know it's still Chinese but I...

    Resharpen or Replace

My solution was to decide it's not a lawn, it's a meadow...

Tractor Sizing 6' brush hog on a 30Hp tractor

I have a 6' mower on my B2650 with 19.5 HP on the PTO. I knew about the HP to size ratio but salesman said go 6', and there have not been any issues.

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

I was aware of the HP to mower size ratio, but dealer told me to go with 5' on my little 24 HP B2650. 5 years, plenty of slopes and I never wished I was went smaller.

    Cleaning lawn of branches

If you don't have tight spots bigger is better. (Lift it up for turns...) I bought one thinking it would be useful for light stuff. Sticks, leaves, etc. In my case I should have listened to the people that said it only works for pine needles. I am surprised at how little it is useful for me.

    Wood chippers

I went with the WM8H. My tractors on a smaller end, B2650 with 19.5 HP at PTO. I wanted the larger 8-in opening for the sake of easier feeding of stuff that is not straight or has small branches on it, and with the hydraulic feed I can slow the feed rate and put in the larger stuff. The...

    Wood chippers

I just bought the WM8H with the $300 off shipping during Thanksgiving week. Initially had doubts with the 19.5 HP of the B2650, but found a neighbor with the same setup that liked it. I set the intake speed slower and it has handled everything I threw in there, some stuff I probably shouldn't...

    Tractor Insurance

My Home Owners though Progressive claims they cover the tractor. The part mentioned about having a limit on individual items is interesting, but I do not see any mention of that in my policy.

Front end blade for a tractor?

Just another option that may work for some... I got a cheap hitch mounted plow, designed to put in the front of a vehicle with a front receiver. My fork lift quick attach plate has a receiver, so I end up with a plow that at least has trip springs.

trailer without brakes - max weight

I spent almost 10 years towing this every weekend of the winter, without brakes. Not saying it was right, but the fact that 80% of my driving was on snow made me always think and plan. (Amazing how many times a 4x4 blasts by you on the expressway not realizing they are on ice and couldn't stop...

Alternative to EA 55 Inch Wicked Root Rake Grapple ?

I haven't seen anyone complain about the quality, and the long wait is communicated, but the charges being applied at ordering instead of shipping is kind of unique. As others said, if there is an issue you cannot even go back to your credit card company with the amount of time that has passed...

Alternative to EA 55 Inch Wicked Root Rake Grapple ?

Like everything else I try to buy, RK shows these are not available either. Kubuta/Landpride dealer said well in to next year for one of theirs.

Need to wage war on mice / rats

There are many alternatives to snap traps, but when I use them I put them in a shoebox-sized box with a hole cut in it to keep the pets or other critters from heading for the bait.

    Repo

Can you sell a tractor that you don't own? I was warned when looking for used Kubotas to be very careful, since with Kubota's long financing you may be buying a tractor that the other person doesn't actually own.
