    Is my diesel still usable?

I order mine from Amazon. BioBor jf is cheaper. For 100 gallons of fuel, you'd typically add 2.6 fl oz of Biobor JF for a 270 ppm treatment or 1.3 fl oz for a 135 ppm treatment. Elaboration: The dosage of Biobor JF depends on the desired treatment level (270 ppm or 135 ppm), and the amount of...

    Is my diesel still usable?

I usually use BioBor JF but would trust the Powerservice product as well.

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

Good plan. I've got a HF Predator 3500 that has been a good one......with a few mods. I try to run in at least every couple of months. Always has real gas and Stabil in the tank.

    Call before you dig

Not only will it lay there until it buried again, it may get replaced a couple of more times before it does get buried again! (Telephone contract work was the family business for many years. We did it all at one time or another.)

Seriously? You can't put yourself in his position and think how you would want your neighbor to treat you if you were in his position?

    Tractor Diesel Fuel Additive

You get a lot of blank stares when you start asking about bio percentages. Or, percentage numbers pulled out of the air. I've found many don't mark their pumps when the bio percentages are above 5%, as supposedly they are required to either. I always ask and have been told up to 10% and not...

OEM Tractor Oil vs Shell, Valvoline, Amsoil, etc.

You are correct. Anybody that sells oil and doesn't make it, buys it from those who do make it. And, it is purchased by bid. (because there is profit involved) The only way you can know who is making what for who is if you know who won the latest bid. As someone has already said...

Are diesel conditioners needed for new

What year range are you calling "older"? I've got friends that use ATF in their fuel. I'm not sure what the ratio is to say 100 gallon? But 2 gallons would seem to be a lot I'm thinking.

Are diesel conditioners needed for new

I’ve used Optilube 2 cycle oil in my small engines for years. Best stuff there ever was! The only diesel I have now is my Volvo truck w/Cummins motor, I pull my 5th wheel with. Always use the Cummins recommended Power Service products. May have to check out the Optilube stuff though.

Are diesel conditioners needed for new

Bio-diesel is great stuff if you burn it out, like over the road truckers do. But don't let it sit in your tank without dosing it with a biocide of some kind. (Power Service Silver year around here. I don't operate when/where it's cold.)

    Pick Up Bed Liners

Good point about how you use the bed. I do like the plastic drop in if you haul sand, gravel, dirt etc, but I'd still put a mat in it for the same reasons you mentioned. The spray-on have their draw backs as well. Stuff like red clay will embed in them and stain them. My cousin was a GMC dealer...

    Pick Up Bed Liners

Last truck came with a spray in, but I still put a mat in to keep things from sliding all over the place. My 2020 came w/o any kind of liner. I put a mat in to keep things from sliding all over the place. It’s a truck. If the bed gets banged up so bad it bothers me to look at it, then I’ll think...

TruFuel 50-1or Stihl 50-1 or Red Armor 50-1??

I had a small engine repair shop tell me about 30 years ago if I used Opti 2 I would never have any problems. I just replaced a McCullough weed eater and a McCullough leaf blower that were both about 30 years old. Never did nothing to them, started every spring after sitting all winter.....and I...

    Sold on Seafoam

I’ve seen it. My experience, nor thousands of others, doesn’t necessarily correlate with his results. But, I don’t use SeaFoam as a stabilizer either, so his little experiment doesn’t really apply to the other things SeaFoam does.

    Sold on Seafoam

My 2 cents: I've always got a can of SeaFoam around and think it is good. I will add some occasionally if I get sputter or hard start. It seems to work. I always use non-ethanol gas. I fill 3, 5 gallon cans and add Stabil every time in all the my 4 cycle stuff. I have several small engines...

    New guy

Hey everybody! Howdy from north Arkansas. Found this place while searching for information on the Tuff Torque K 46 hydrostatic drive. I had rebuild one a few years ago and it is slipping again. Solved the problem by buying a used JD X520. Pretty nice step up from a LT 150. This is a great and...
