I ended up with it back at the dealer for an unrelated issue and they dug into this problem, too. Haven't gotten it back yet, but they said that the port at the bottom of the tank was all but blocked with debris, so I'm buying that for a dollar until I get to ops check it.

Well, it's not the fuel cap and I haven't been able to spot anything in the tank. That said, I can't see in there well at all, so I'm running the fuel down and plan to pull the tank this weekend.

Thanks folks. My money is now on some sort of debris because its just like those folks said- could be a few minutes, could be 3 hours. Also, if I wait a while, it may start better- or not and it may not do it again for a long while- or not. More to follow...

Thanks! That makes sense. I'll check that first thing, as well as a suggestion to see if the fuel cap vent is plugged, also causing a flow change due to vacuum. I'll report back on those.

Hello all, Enthusiastic newbie with a 2012 3038e that is absolutely amazing. I'm using it to clear a future homestead and its perfect for removing saplings and grading the washboard effect out from under reforested pines. I have a fantastic dealer that sold it to me, too. Just one annoyance...
