    Amazing...

FYI, large amounts of cash is tricky to deal with. I do a lot of tractor work, all cash. Also shop repairs and welding, all cash. We just bought a new car and couldn't pay cash! My wife went to deposit it in our bank and it was in cash envelopes,,,,, from our bank. They never said a word. Story...

Buying Advice Cab or no cab?

Most of your concerns have been addressed. Listen to the guys that have experience. Bigger is good but not always better. A cab with AC and heat is the only thing you should consider. I'm 71 and still running dozer, grader and backhoe. The dozers are open ROPS and sit in the hot or very cold...

    USA made bearings?

I never had an issue with timken, skf, nachi. I rely more on who makes them as opposed to where with the exception of anything made in China.

Clearing 154 acres of woods in west Tennessee

Advice that's totally off topic. Maybe someone should have added their favorite cookie recipe too. Being on topic, I would get the largest dozer you can afford and a root rake. Others have said to hire it out. Both replies are good advice. We use this one mainly for brush clearing.

Clearing 154 acres of woods in west Tennessee

What we need is more people telling land owners what they should do with their land. The op asked for advice and not to be told what someone who has no stake in the land would do.

    Dealer charge for loading tires

I have never used anything but water. Straight water. Buy a fill valve from Amazon Jungle and do it yourself. You will save $1990.00.

    Hours charged for tractor work

I often use a transport for moving a dozer or grader. The customer pays transport plus hourly labor rate while I'm traveling, 1 time. From the time I'm on the job running equipment it's straight hourly tractor rates if I'm operating, getting off to get a different view of things or discussion...

Looking to buy my first tractor

We are in hilly to steep terrain. Hard clay that turns to snot in the winter. Most of my neighbors are on 20-20,000 acres. The smaller ranches mostly all have Kubota machines in the 3-6000# class. I have a l-3200. I also have a Case 580K extend-a-hoe with 4in1 2wheel drive that gets called into...

    Dealer backing out of deal

I'd hold them responsible for the agreed upon price. I didn't see where the difference in price was mentioned but no matter,a deal is a deal, written or verbal. A man or company is only as good as their word.

    Short Term Tractor Purchase

It sounds to me like a few weeks rental would be the way to go. Even hiring it out wouldn't be that bad. Figure that while you're working on the property, you're not doing whatever it is that actually makes you money.

    Thoughts on 02 F450 dump

Rust , strike 1. V10, strike 2 Unless I needed spare part for a good truck, I'd pass at 2k.

    Educate me

Here's a couple pointers. The one thing that will make you a good welder as opposed to a bird shxt welder is seeing what your doing. Get as good a helmet as you can afford plus an extra 50 bucks. Next is a decent machine. I will strongly suggest 175 amp 220 volt machine. The little 110 welders...

    Educate me

Never pass up the opportunity to learn something new, especially if it is useful to you or can save you money. I learned to weld in 1966. I took a brush up Tig class at the community college in 2016 and stayed for 4 semesters. I learned a few new skills and taught many many old school ways to...

TruFuel 50-1or Stihl 50-1 or Red Armor 50-1??

VP 50-1 I run it in all my 2 strokes. No issues, no problems, never a hard start, stores well for a couple years if needed. I buy 5 gallon cans. Expensive but worth the expense .

150 years worth of Gopher mounds

I've removed countless ground squirrel mounds using my D5 with a brush/root rake. I built it in the shop with 6” box tubing and replaceable Cat scarifier shanks.
