    BX-2200 Grass Catcher

Try reducing the throttle before engaging the PTO. I think the start up at full throttle causes stress on the sheer bolt and eventually weakens it.

GCK60-BX loves to eat shear bolts. Any ideas?

Mine is on its third season. I have had a pretty consistent problem with the shear pin about every 10 to 12 hours of use. Putting on ideal to engage seems to help, but it does shear without a heavy load. BTW, there are two bolt on the drive shaft between the gear box and the fan that is...

    BX 1800 won't stop

Re: BX 1800 won\'t stop Thanks Bird, but I don't think that is likely. Although it sure would be nice if it was that simple. I'm the only one who fuels it. It was a very strange occurence. I had already mowed for 30 minutes. Stopped for lunch, no new fuel added. Then the run away engine...

    BX 1800 won't stop

BX 1800 won\'t stop When started up the engine immediately went into a very high rpm and the key wouldn't turn it off. Large cloud of black smoke. Could only stop it by stalling it.

    Help Please...Frozen Bunny Waterer

Put pieces of ice in the rabbits cage. They wil happily chew on the ice and get the water. Last time I looked wild rabbits didn't have heaters for their water supply.

FEL Drops When Disconnecting What Is the Problem?

When the wheels are off the ground, just remove the pins holding the FEL on the tractor. Now uncurl and lower the FEL, works better with the engine on, gets the wheels back on the ground and moves FEL off the tractor. Turn off the tractor, release pressure, and now disconnect the hoses.

    BX2200 FEL R&R

The manual describes the angle to curl the bucket. Raising the wheels helps to positions the holes for easier removal. It actually takes pressure off the pins and forces the loader back tight into the bracket.

Snow BX2200, Plow snow with the FEL

I live in central ohio, so no big snow falls. I use the fel on about 150' of driveway. It works OK. But if I was back in real snow country, a blade or blower would be worth the price.

    Shifting PTO in on BX2200

I had this problem when brand new. Eventually PTO selector was really messed up. Dealer took it back and adjusted and it has been smooth as silk ever since.

BX PTO lever very hard to engage

I pushed hard on mine and had the gears jump when it was brand new. Lever in mid and rear ran. Dealer repaired on warantee. Works fine now. Always engages properly and easily. I suggest that you have the dealer work on it.

    Grass Catcher anyone?

It does the job. Kind of tricky to get hooked up. After you get some experience it goes pretty quick. Make sure both ptos are selected before engaging. If only mid it will shear the bolt. Run the PTO on high or the hose will clog. Empties easily. I would give it a B grade.
