    Backing up a Gen Trailer

!) Practice until you get the hang of it. Short trailers and short tractors are difficult, but not impossible, to back up. Just takes practice, like anything else. 2) That being said, I have a receiver hitch on the front of my tractor because it's many magnitudes easier to spot a trailer when...

    TC29D Temperature Sending Unit

Thanks for the picture. Dealer said my gauge is part of a cluster and whole thing would have to be replaced. I've used an infrared temp sensor on hose and upper radiator at operating temp and it is running where it should.

    TC29D Temperature Sending Unit

Thanks so much for the pages from the service manual. Where is the best place to get a copy? It would sure save me a lot of time and having to ask a lot of questions.

TC29D Fuel Tank has trash in it

Does anyone have any ideas how to clean trash out of a TC29D fuel tank? Trash periodically causes the tractor to shut off for lack of fuel. I have to unhook the fuel line and blow it out to dislodge the trash, then bleed the system before starting. A real PITA. Always comes at the most...

Best way to change oil in Woods RD7200 gearbox

Just bought a used Woods RD7200. The gear oil is milky. Looks like the best way to change it is to suction it out. Anyone have any other ideas without taking it apart?

    TC29D losing power

2001 TC29D...While mowing, it began to bog down...pushed in clutch...waited about a minute while it stumbled and stuttered, then it was fine again for about 5 minutes...keeps doing this...grass is not unusually high...fuel tank is about 1/2 full...mowing with a Woods RD7200 rear-mounted...

    Folding-ROPS hardware

I've been through the archives and searched the threads, but I can't find the answer to this: Is it possible to purchase the hinge hardware and convert a non-folding ROPS. I really would like to be able to bring my TC29D inside both to work on it and just to keep it out of the weather. I'm...

Bummer! Jackson New Holland has closed!

Just received a letter dated August 2 announcing the immediate closing of Jackson New Holland, Inc. in Jackson, TN. Just bought my 2001 TC29D there a couple of months ago. Been buying parts for my old '51 8N and my Woods mower. The letter said the "continued decline in the general economy has...

My wife and I each need the seat of our 2001 TC29D in a different position when we operate the tractor, but the slide is stuck fast. Has anyone had success lubricating the seat slide and what did you use?

    Difference between TC29D and TC29DA

Dealer gave me an Operator's Manual for the TC29DA and told me what any significant differences are, but I was in la-la land when I took delivery of my 2001 TC29D and don't remember what he said. JK

    Telescoping (not!) steering column

Just bought a 2001 TC29D from local dealer. Low hours and pretty good price, but the telescoping steering column feature won't work. Didn't know to look for than when I bought it. Search in archives comes up with about $400 in parts and 3 hours of dealer labor to repair. Has anyone...
