    Bad stuff

Sorry for the bad topic. I had to put down the in-laws dog last November. The vet wanted an additional $30 for disposal and I should have taken them up on it. Yesterday I can’t get my dog in from the back. I drive over and find the coyotes have dug up what should be left alone. If my wife...

My wife wanted to go fish’n Sunday (I am a lucky guy) so hooked up the boat Saturday night, took the cover off to find my new arrival. Boy are they fast, brought out the dog and the cat and they are chasing this thing all over the boat. My wife comes out and says “I am not going fishing with a...

    Low Fluid

I have 23 hours on my L3000DT, so I decided to check all the fluid levels and grease the loader. To my surprise, two of the 12 fittings were dry They missed the same one on both sides. OK, greased them up. But the fluid in the front axle (4WD) wasn’t touching the dip stick Went to the...

    Temp Gauge

I have noticed on my L3000DT that the temperature gauge does not move much at all, not more than two needles worth up. But I haven’t worked her hard since she is new. After 3 hours last night, attacking an 80 yard pile, the gauge didn’t move. What do your gauges read normally ? Mark

    PTO Reverse Safety

I am all for safety sensors. I know lots of guys who bypassed the operator presence safety (not a good idea in my book). However, my JD 345 will disengage the PTO whenever the tractor is reversed unless you lift the PTO engagement switch first. I learned to live with this while mowing, not...

    My tank is empty

My JD GT345 (72hrs) is sprung a leak. I was cutting the lawn and started smelling fuel on each pass. Stopped the PTO and heard a sound coming from the rear. I couldn't believe my eyes, gas pouring out of the bottom of the tank. 3 gallons, all over my lawn ! I pulled the tank and seems that...
