Mowing 2305 with 260 BH causing MMM problems

I took the deck off for the first time the other day to put the BH/FEL back on. Things went smoothly and I will be replacing come of the cotter pins with spring pins to make the transition for the 3 pt hitch even faster.

Mowing 2305 with 260 BH causing MMM problems

I got the deck on and installed the 3 pt hitch yesterday. The deck works like a champ. Does anyone know if the independent hydraulic lift interferes with the 260 backhoe? I plan to drop the FEL and BH when I mow but putting the 3 pt hitch on and off is going to get old real quick...

Mowing 2305 with 260 BH causing MMM problems

Im willing to give the Mechanical lift a try but my main problem is the way that the front to back push rod connects. In the directions it shows one tab that the fork on the adjustable end of the push rod fits around. On my tractor in stead of there being a single tab there are two that make a...

Mowing  2305 with 260 BH causing MMM problems

I have a 2305 with the FEL and 260 BH. I brought the 54C MMM home today and hit a wall putting it together: 1)Where the front to back push rood connects on the left side of the tractor to the lifting assembly it has two pieces in stead of one. In the instructions it shows one that fits...

2305 starts but wont stay running

I looked in the fused box and fuse C the 15 amp (engine, glow plugs and starter) fuse had blown. Any thoughts about what would cause this. Im going to try to move it to a more convenient location since its in the woods right now. I was running it for several hours before hand and was actually on...

2305 starts but wont stay running

My 2305 just quit on me. It starts but will not stay running. When I turn the key the lights that usually come on durring the "Glow plug process" dont come on. I can get the motor to turn over and run but as soon as I let the key go it stops. The fuel level gage also drops once the key is released.

    2305 Wheel Spacers

I adapted a power angle plow from a 110 to fit on my 2305 for snow removal. I found out very quickly that I would need chains since nothing on my property is level. I soon realized I needed wheel spacers. I don't recall what ones I ended up with but they are the steel jd ones from another...

    4 wheel drive question

I put a chain on one front tire to help with steering on my 2305. There were several times this winter when I had the did lock on that all the only wheel bot spinning was the one with the chain on it.

54" JD 300 series plow on JD 2305

Heres what I did: I made a cardboard template based off of a tracing from the tractor the plow came off of. I believe it was a 322. I had originally asked a local weld shop to make the bracket for me but he could not get steel for me in a timely fashion without charging me more for shipping...

How to get unstuck from snowbank?

I got my jd 2305 stuck is the swamp this summer well at least it was a part I didnt think was swamp. It ended up being a fine ballet between the FEL BH and the reverse pedal to get the thing out of the hole I was in. Take your time and be gentle. The machine will only do what it wants to do.

2305 Trans fan - Warranty Part?

I called the dealer and they said they would need to see it to decide if it was a warranty issue. They made it sound like it was gonna cost me the pick up and delivery and a service fee for them to tell me I ran over a stick...

    Snow Pushing snow

I bought a 54" blade for a 300 series and had a bracket fabbed up and had longer hoses made. I'm into it about for about $600. That's about half of what new would cost.

    Snow Pushing snow

I have a 2305 with a FEL and backhoe. This is my first winter with it and the FEL does and ok job. Nothing and I repeat nothing on my property is flat or level. I can push snow but the tractor goes where it wants if I am on a slope. I am in the process of converting a 54" blade from a 322 for my...

No power outages for three years!

I have been thinking about one for my 2305. We had a tornado Come through two summers ago and we were out of power for 2 days. Then every storm after that we lost power due to falling limbs. We had everything running on gas generators but they are too noisy and finicky to start.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Heres some of the lawn mower facing the snowacane of last year. Not bad for a lawnmower from Lowes... I decided to stop beating on it and the 2305 joined the ranks this year. This is a picture of both machines awaiting this years first snow. I am working on adapting a plow off of a 300...

    new vs. used

When we bought our 2305 new we searched and searched for used machines. We just could bring ourselves to pay 60-75% of what a new machine would cost for something someone else has beat on. And at 0% for 4 years you cant beat financing like that.

Dumbest Thing you have done with your tractor

I have two... 1- Was helping my fatherinlaw try to cut a trail down a bank. In stead of using the backhoe i was trying to do it with the FEL. The ground was soft and greasy and I just about lost in done the bank. I couldnt pull it out with the backhoe. We tried to pull it out with a comealong...

54" JD 300 series plow on JD 2305

I called my Two of my "friendly" JD dealers. One quoted me around $300 for the lines and fittings off the plow built for the 2305. Not kits to upgrade either. The other suggested I see if the fittings on the current lines would work with my tractor and have new lines cut. They do fit and I will...

54" JD 300 series plow on JD 2305

I know its an old thread, but I was wondering what you ended up doing for hydraulic lines? I have a 54" power angle off a 322 and need to get or make new lines to get back to the 2305 hydraulic connections.
