Does anyone have first hand knowledge they could share of if a D722 kubota engine can be installed in a RTV900?

What is an acceptable gap between the mount plate and the quick tach?
The wrench in the photograph is a 3/4 inch craftsman and there is extra room above it. So, almost 1/2 inch gap. The photograph is looking up into the slot where the pin would be when the two components are mounted.
I am trying to figure the best way to attach the yellow assembly in the photographs to the two inch square tubing. The yellow is a 1/4 skeleton structure with an 1/8, or a bit thicker, outer shell.
