Just speculation, but I doubt the Bow thrusters are available for service at a whim. Probably have to start another Yanmar first. For once, it's nice when there is a fairly quick resolution of such a crisis. Too often, it just goes from bad to worse it seems.

My Guess is that the centre conductor of the three is the neutral/ground, and probably is also used for the primary of the transformer. This may seem odd, but I can't see them running two neutral/grounds, one for the primary and the other for the secondary and customers.

Shop Vac Suction at Hydraulic Fill Port?

I would consider having to clean the shop vac of oil, if some got in there to be a worse job than cleaning the machine or floor. Getting oil out of the hose ribbing would be near impossible and now dirt will stick to it like shake and bake. It's like funnels. I mark some, water only, or oil...

I am certainly going to stop and ask the next (Hydro) electric utility worker I come across. If missing a neutral and using Earth return is no big deal. Using 4800V out here on this rural single phase line, wouldn't work very well, using Earth as a return conductor. What was said for this...

Battery based electric vehicles of today and tomorrow.

I read some years ago, that in a typical urban environment, a Tier 4 Final diesel will expel cleaner air out the tailpipe than it's sucking in. I wish someone made a kit of a bare bones 90s style mid size pickup, that one could put a similar era, non-emmissions Industrial/Ag diesel into.
