I cant remember if I ask you this. Have you tried your echo 2500T oil cap from that saw onto any other saws?

Wondering if that cap fits 2511 or a fuel clone 2511 or smaller oil or even a 501 or 346 oil or fuel.
I listed like 3-4 different sizes there. So wondering on it.

Just always trying to think out of the box with stuff to try for others.

Husky be selling some caps with their screw in style flip caps. They thought ahead big time on theirs. Raking in that extra money.

I'm just wondering what size it is and thread type they may of used.

Just thinking out of the box for the better threaded type caps to use on multiple saw brands down the road.

Echo has their own version of the threaded flip cap too. One is the bigger one. Figure the 2500 one might be the smaller one.

They haven't been testing against those overseas. Only the 262xp and 562xp MKII.

So not a freaking clue honestly with 361.

But just like me. I wouldnt get rid of my older saws in class for any of this new stuff in the class by husky stihl or echo.

Being I owned both 361 357xp and ported 359 and stock 359 muffler modded with base gasket delete.

I'll show some PHO weights to compare.

@airbiscuit being honest here. 361 need muffler mod bad. One of the worst muffers stihl did like that.

That muffler is right way on 361. Thats by guys in my group.

Just adding a gill on that side or a defector and hole also helps just not as much.

Just going to do some real testing for myself. Seen Joe H. Joe Dyno do this on one of his saws.


I just cant stand the humpback look of the afm wedge deal and the 3d printed set up. Joe tested this on a stock echo and it only showed 3% on stock one over the stock air filter. But guys are saying they are seeing 10% on their ported ones. Going by cut times.


I'm not doing this because of fines getting by oem filter. Because I dont have a issue with that since installing a o-ring over 2 years ago.


I am going to test with cover on oem filter, then with cover off oem filter, then with the other oem echo set up installed. Just a good running hack ported 490 to be tested on.

All my 501 are kept stock. Maybe try one of those later on.

I thought I had a filter like Joe used. But didnt. So one ordered.
