Osprey vs Catfish

I apologize for the horrible quality. They were a quarter mile away on the other side of the river. I'm this case is about the story, not the photo quality.

That fish was right at the limit of what the bird could carry. It took him 100yds to get it out of the river and another mile or so headed up river to gain enough altitude to get into a tree. Several times along the way the Osprey lost altitude and almost ended up back in the drink.

You guys are right, that is a carp. My mistake. I saw the little whisker things in one of my photos and thought catfish. Thanks for the correction!

Looks like a sucker.

Impressive! Note how they always turn the fish into the wind headfirst for better aerodynamics.

Hawk attacks airliner....

We were out at an overlook west of our airport and a bunch of small birds were harassing a redtail hawk. They broke off and as the hawk kept soaring around, I noticed an airliner taking off, so I shot a bunch of quick pics with the phone hoping to catch them in the same frame. The airliner is a good 3/4 mile away from us and the hawk is about 100 yards.

Actually both of these pictures I just took...one is a deformity the other is what-the-h*((-kind-of-snake is this???
Behind the house over the hill I planted a row of white pines. One grew a witches broom.
The other just now I'm in my garage, of course the section with my recliner, and here's this baby snake. About a foot or so long, pinky diameter and where/are others or Momma and something is moving inside my recliner!

Snake I took outside with long pliers and released it on sidewalk. I'm not sure what it is. I heard even venomous little ones are bad. It had a white mouth.

Looks like a baby Rat/Black snake.
