Wow... were they in that truck? The way it's pancaked, you'd assume anyone inside must've been crushed to death.

I've never been scared to the point of sh*tting myself, but I'd guess that being in that truck at the time and seeing that jet headed for us at 160 kts, might get the job done.

I was handling a service call repairing a machine in the bottom of a rock quarry.

While talking to one of the big wigs at the quarry I looked up and noticed a pickup truck on it's roof, about 200ft up the knee wall. Truck was on the first stage about 50ft below the top of the wall.

They were setting up a crane to remove the truck from said wall.

Apparently the new hire, a week after site training and probation, started on the night shift.

Dude ignored and drove around the barricades and ended up going off the wall.

He was banged up, but survived.

They had to get mountain rescue out there to get him off the knee wall.

Needless to say, they made sure he was OK, and then fired his butt.

A farmer did something similar on my dad's newly surfaced township road. They just repaved it, over 3/4 mile at I am sure considerable expense.

The orchardist I worked for years ago told of driving through town with the sickle mower on the tractor. Somebody flagged him down and pointed out the cutter bar had dropped... cleaning out several cars.
