That's a lot of grapple for a BX.. I think there is only another 250 pounds you can lift now at full capacity ?
Little more then 250, but plenty for what I need it for. Heavy lifting I use the L, this only weighs about 60lbs more then the Land Pride grapple sized for the BX, and this grapple is WAY stronger and more capable.

I have a L370SU and bought a grapple for it about 5-7 years ago.. Its probably the best implement I have ever gotten for it.. I use it often. Mine was a "cheap" one from the equipment auction place. I think I paid 1K or so for it. If I have one complaint.. And its minuscule .. I think it could have a little more bite force. .. But that may have more to do with the tractor hydraulics than the grapple. Anyway enjoy yours.. They are a back saver for sure.

I'm in the market for a grapple. Is EA under new management? I've read enough about their past business practices to be wary. I'm leaning towards Catawba.

No idea, but it was in stock and I had it in a couple days. Would have been sooner but I ordered late on Friday.

I followed the past problems with EA but seems they have everything straight now.

I was also looking at Catawaba, they look like nice units also, but there were a few things that made me go EA. Mainly weight difference and some slight design differences that I preferred.

I can get pics later, but yes, they drilled and cross drilled the bolt so that it has passages under both sides of the cylinder clevis. Works ok, but I wish the shank of the bolt was longer so the pivot wasn't on the threads.
I am not sure mine pivots on threads, but probably. Not ideal, that's for sure. At least yours actually gets grease.

I have been looking at them for years, had planned on building one, but unfortunately, I needed one pretty quick and didn't have the time to design/r&d and build it.

Decided to bite the bullet and buy one, I decided on the 55in wicked from everything attachments as it had the best strength to weight ratio of any I looked at.

I plan on using it with both my BX2680 and L3240, at only 240lbs it is not too heavy for the BX, but since it seemed to hold up well to the testing on a L6060 I figured it would hold up to my L3240.

Ordered Friday evening, picked it up Wednesday, (would have been Tuesday but I didn't get back l to them early enough Monday).View attachment 4002092

I was able to get it mounted in the BX today, only had a few minutes to play with it, but so far very happy with it.View attachment 4002093View attachment 4002094

Very happy with the design and overall build quality. I know there were some problems in the past, but I had a very pleasant experience.
Hi. Where are these available? I didnt know they were still made.
Thanks!

Only half the clevis is on the threads, honestly with how little rotation and the low speed, it really doesn't need much lubrication.

My larger grapple doesn't even have a way to grease the cylinder ends.

While not ideal, it's really still more than adequate for the application

I got mine from MTL Attachments. They were the least expensive of the style I wanted and it works great. I'm not sure if they have anything anything as light weight as that EA grapple.

TMGT, thanks for getting back to me with the image.

Your reasoning is pretty much the same as mine. That's why I didn't pursue anything further (like drill and cross drill) with mine. My brother in law just bought an Anbo grapple, manufactured in Colville, WA. His cylinder connection looks as such:

It looks like it should receive grease nicely.
