Suspension Seat Upgrade

Is there a suspension seat upgrade available for newer Kubota zero turn mowers? I'm helping my 80yr old father shop for a mower.

If Kubota doesn't offer one at a price that suits you, there is a suspension seat system on Amazon available with a variety of mounts to fit various brands.

I put a suspension seat platform on my Exmark z turn many years ago.

Wasn’t that difficult, and improved the ride quality quite a bit.
Though it does help, I still wouldn’t compare it to a Ferris type system though

Not so sure about that. I have a Ferris ISX800 and yes it does have a great ride compared to the $14k eXmark I unloaded it cause it beat me to death and bouht the $9600 Ferris.

Problem I have with the Ferris is way too many joints and adjustments to get the mower just right. Even then I was still getting scalping at the turnarounds.. when the front castors spun. Tire pressures checked.

Anti-scalp rollers are not adjustable.

Another issue was the front tires going flat due to dirt getting into the bead.

I think the Ferris is definately a good ZTR even with those issies.

With that said I just emptied my wallet on a brand new Kubota ZD1611 diesel.

True air ride seat with the articulating front axle puts it in the same league... well really close, to the Ferris.
