Narrow escape after 60,000lb earthmover crashes in Massachusetts
No one was seriously injured after brake failure sent an earthmover careening through traffic, officials said.

I has a similar incident years ago. I premix truck was leaving my job on a relatively steep grade. He turned onto the grade and his brakes failed. It was about a quarter mile down to a major 4 lane road. He started picking up a lot of speed and headed toward the traffic signal which was red on his side.
He started blowing his horn and luckily my survey crew was in the intersection and saw him coming. They managed to get all the traffic stopped as he blew through the intersection at a very high speed.
He continued about another 1/8 mile to where the road dead ended at a lagoon.
Buried that sucker in the water.
He needed new undies.
