DIY hydraulic pressure relief couplers

For you DIY folks, I found a set of 1/2" Ag couplers on Amazon for ~$16. Find an NPT reducer bushing, drill/ tap the inside diameter to the desired screw thread (1/4-20 sounds about right) and add a bolt, T-bolt, whatever your preference for a lower cost version.

I think that it lets you bleed of pressure so you can connect fittings.

Hmm, not sure how this got here, I was replying in the thread that's discussing these gizmos. $125 for a pair of ISO connectors with a t handle screw seems a bit pricey to me...

Yea it is pricey… but I bet if you counted your time, and labor to make one it would be about the same…

Many times I’ve bought tools after considering the cost it would take for me to figure it out and make it…

Case in point the clamps I use in the hydro fittings.. I forget the name..
it cost me $85.. the clamp itself is $45.. milling or cutting the new jaws would cost more than the $40 to make them myself…..
